Our Story

Uncle Ed's is a story of passion, perseverance, and the unbreakable bond of Aloha.

It all began on a farm on the Big Island of Hawaii, where two brothers, Edward and Walter Kerpa, dreamed of crafting something that honored both their love for the environment and their commitment to sustainability. What started as a vision, took footing in a family-owned distillery where they crafted a vodka as smooth as the volcanic waters that shaped it... however, fate had different plans.

On August 19, 2021, the world lost Edward Kerpa.  His passing was sudden, leaving an undeniable void in the hearts of those who loved him most. But while his physical presence was gone, his spirit could never be dimmed. Ed's legacy would find new life, through a friendship built on shared values of respect, ‘ohana, and a mission to “Return Aloha."

Spearheaded by Grammy-nominated band Common Kings, a powerful partnership was forged with Uncle Ed's and Kīnā'ole Foundation to uplift Native Hawaiian communities- turning passion into impact.

What started as a dream between two brothers became a movement, a testament to the power of connection and a selfless belief in a greater purpose.

Uncle Ed’s Damn Good Vodka is more than just a drink- it’s a celebration of life, a commitment to community, and a reminder to savor the moments that bring us together.
